The authorities of Uzbekistan have approved new measures to stimulate the legalization of retail trade and services in the regions. Starting July 1, a state system to encourage consumers to demand cash receipts will be launched in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region.
Citizens who register receipts from online cash registers in the Soliq mobile application will automatically participate in monthly drawings, with a car approved as the main prize.
The initiative aims to reduce the shadow economy in these two regions, strengthen public control, and popularize the use of online cash registers among entrepreneurs. According to the adopted resolution, receipts issued by all trade and service facilities in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm during a calendar month will be eligible for the draws.
The selection of winners will be carried out automatically without human intervention, through a special random selection platform within the state application. Previously, more than 45,200 citizens of Uzbekistan received state subsidies for electricity generated by solar panels through the Soliq mobile app, with total payments amounting to 73.9 billion soums.
