President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with the design of a grand monument dedicated to the great statesman, commander, and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, to be erected as part of an architectural ensemble in the city of Babur, Andijan region.
It was noted that the monument is being created with the aim of honoring the heritage of the ancestor, conveying his scientific and literary legacy, statecraft, and contribution to world civilization to the younger generation.
The head of state was briefed on the sketches, compositional solution, and scientific-artistic approaches to depicting Babur's image. The project is being developed based on research conducted by the country's scientists in cooperation with foreign experts, historical sources, manuscripts, and miniatures.
It was also noted that during the president's visit to Pakistan, one of the parks in Islamabad was named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The design of the monument to be installed in this park was also discussed.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of depicting Babur not only as a poet and writer but also as a skilled commander, founder of a state, and wise ruler in the monuments.
The presentation also included information on projects to improve the material and technical base of the Abu Rayhan Beruni International Boarding School, develop tourism and transport infrastructure in Bukhara, and modernize cultural centers in districts.
The president gave instructions to further improve the projects and develop them thoroughly based on advanced experience.
