In the Balykchi district of the Andijan region, the body of a 17-year-old teenager who had been missing for four days was discovered in the Karadarya River.

According to the regional prosecutor's office, on May 17, a local resident reported that his son had left home the day before and did not return. A pre-investigation check was immediately launched into the disappearance of the minor.

The investigation established that on May 16 at around 3:30 PM, the teenager went swimming in the Karadarya River in the Sarnavul mahalla with friends. He was unable to cope with the strong current and drowned.

The search lasted four days. Today, May 20, the victim's body was recovered from the water near the bridge connecting the Andijan and Namangan regions.

Investigative actions are ongoing, and the progress of the check is under the control of the Andijan Regional Prosecutor's Office. A procedural decision will be made based on the results.

Law enforcement and the regional prosecutor's office once again urge parents to strengthen control over their children's leisure time. With the onset of hot weather, it is strictly forbidden to allow minors to swim in unauthorized and unequipped water bodies where there are no rescue posts.
