A tragic incident caused by natural disaster occurred in the Dehkanabad district of Uzbekistan. A young shepherd lost his life after being caught in a powerful mudslide.

The General Prosecutor's Office confirmed the incident to Podrobno.uz. The event took place on May 19. At around 20:20, a report was received by the district police duty station about a man's body found in a riverbed in the village of Kurilish.

An investigative team led by the district prosecutor promptly arrived at the scene. During the preliminary investigation, the victim was identified as a 25-year-old local resident.

According to relatives, the young man went out to graze cattle at around 15:00 but did not return home in the evening. At approximately 18:00, heavy rainfall triggered mudslides in the area, which are believed to have caused the shepherd's death.

The Dehkanabad district prosecutor's office is continuing its pre-investigation check, and a final procedural decision will be made based on the results.
