China has authorized the import of ten types of dried vegetables from Uzbekistan, according to the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection.
In early May, a delegation of the Uzbek government visited China. During the visit, negotiations were held with the General Administration of Customs of China, resulting in phytosanitary permits for the export of several agricultural products.
The list of approved dried vegetables includes garlic, onion, beetroot, carrots, tomatoes, radish, pumpkin, eggplant, zucchini, and greens.
To export these products, enterprises must be included in the list of importers approved by the Chinese side. Additionally, a phytosanitary certificate is mandatory, and requirements to prevent quarantine pests must be met.
In mid-April 2026, it was reported that following negotiations with Pakistan's phytosanitary service, permission was obtained to export four types of products: chili peppers, figs, lemons, and apples.
