A woman in Fergana has been fined 8.2 million Uzbek soums for hitting her husband during a family conflict that began over a disagreement about where to take their children for a walk. The court found her guilty of domestic violence.

According to the court, the incident occurred during a family outing when the couple could not agree on whether to go to the Palace of Culture or a shopping center. The disagreement escalated into a quarrel, which continued in the following days.

Two days later, the woman came to her husband, and another argument broke out. During the altercation, she struck her husband with her hand, causing bodily harm. A criminal case was initiated under Article 126-1 of the Criminal Code (Domestic Violence).

In court, the woman partially admitted guilt, stating that the conflict was mutual and that she acted in self-defense. "He wanted to hit me, and I pushed him away with my hand to defend myself," she explained.

The victim, her husband, stated that he did not intend to forgive his wife and asked the court to take legal measures against her. The court found the woman guilty and imposed a fine of 20 times the base calculation value. The man was also informed of his right to file a civil lawsuit for material and moral damages.
