Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. The Supreme Judicial Council of Uzbekistan received a score of 48.75 points in the 2025 Transparency Index, categorizing it as "red," indicating shortcomings in ensuring openness in its activities.
The evaluation report was reviewed by the Senate Committee on Judicial and Legal Affairs and Anti-Corruption. During the meeting, senators discussed the problems identified in the council's work and adopted recommendations to improve transparency indicators and compliance with legal requirements.
The assessment of the Supreme Judicial Council was part of a broader analysis of 97 state bodies and organizations. According to the 2025 results, 66 organizations were classified as "green" (compared to 50 in 2024), 22 as "yellow" (35 in 2024), and 9 as "red" (13 in 2024). Committee members noted that the 3.5-fold increase in the number of "green" agencies compared to 2022 indicates a positive trend in ensuring the openness of state structures in the country.
During the discussion of the Supreme Judicial Council's activities, participants compared the positive results achieved with existing problems in ensuring transparency. Based on this analysis, senators formulated a list of recommendations aimed at the council's compliance with openness legislation and adopted a final decision to improve its work.
