Several streets in Tashkent will be temporarily closed on May 22 for a send-off ceremony for the Uzbekistan national football team ahead of their debut at the FIFA World Cup, the city's Traffic Management Center announced.

The event, planned as a show-concert at the Bunyodkor Stadium, will also feature a friendly match involving the national team.

Restrictions will be in effect from 16:00 to 21:00 local time, with intermittent traffic bans on the following streets.

The Traffic Management Center advised drivers to plan alternative routes in advance.

Uzbekistan's national team will make its first World Cup appearance from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Placed in Group K, they will play three group-stage matches against Colombia, Portugal, and the winner of a playoff between Jamaica, New Caledonia, and DR Congo.
