President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has awarded the Order of Fidokorona Khizmatlari Uchun (For Selfless Service) to his advisor on sustainable development of the Aral Sea region, Senator Tursynkhan Khudaybergenov.

The corresponding decree was signed on the occasion of his 75th birthday.

According to the document, the award was given for many years of selfless work in state bodies, a great contribution to the implementation of large-scale reforms in the country, as well as active participation in socio-political life.

The senator's merits in the development of the Aral Sea region, improvement of infrastructure, improvement of the environmental situation and solving problems of the local population were especially emphasized.
