Uzbekistan's meteorological service, Uzgidromet, has issued a warning about potential mudslides and floods in the foothills and mountainous regions of the country from May 23 to 25, due to expected heavy rainfall.

According to forecasters, residential areas and recreational sites in the foothills are particularly at risk. Accumulation of rainwater could lead to localized flooding.

Authorities have urged residents, tourists, and drivers in mountainous areas to take precautionary measures, including avoiding hazardous zones and refraining from traveling along rivers and streams.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has stated it is prepared to implement additional safety measures. The public is advised to follow official warnings and contact emergency services if needed.
