On May 23 at approximately 5:00 PM in the Bogbon mahalla of Kitab district, a 9-year-old boy lost control of his bicycle and fell into the Kashkadarya River.

The boy's older brother began shouting for help. Hearing the children's cries, Major Khusniddin Sharapov, an Emergency Ministry employee living near the river, jumped into the water and rescued the boy.

Major Sharapov serves as a group commander in one of the rescue units in Kitab district. His swift and courageous actions saved the child's life.

The boy is in good condition and has been returned home. No injuries were reported.
