According to the Statistics Committee, in January–March 2026, 2,277 people left Uzbekistan for permanent residence abroad, a 4.1% decrease compared to the same period last year.
The majority of emigrants chose Kazakhstan (80.6%) and Russia (16.4%) as their destination.
South Korea accounted for 0.8% of emigrants, Kyrgyzstan for 0.7%, and other countries for 1.5%.
By region, the highest number of emigrants was recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (727 people), followed by Tashkent region (637), Navoi region (511), and Tashkent city (243).
The lowest numbers were in Surkhandarya region (3 people) and Kashkadarya region (5). Bukhara region saw 29 emigrants, Khorezm 22, Syrdarya 19, Andijan and Namangan 18 each, Jizzakh 17, Samarkand 15, and Fergana 13.
