Uzbekistan has delivered nearly 200 tons of humanitarian aid to Balkh province, Afghanistan, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and to support the population affected by flash floods. This was reported by the administration of Surkhandarya region.

The cargo was handed over at the premises of the company 'Astras' in Hairatan city, with the participation of Ismatilla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan, Ulugbek Kosimov, Governor of Surkhandarya region, and Nurulhodi Abuidris, Deputy Governor of Balkh province.

The aid includes flour, rice, sugar, pasta, confectionery, vegetable oil, chickpeas, and instant meals.

In 2025, Uzbekistan had already sent 183 tons of food products to Afghanistan for Eid al-Adha.

In March, the country sent over 290 tons of humanitarian aid for Ramadan, consisting of flour, rice, wheat, vegetable oil, instant food, pasta, confectionery, and other products.
