Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. On the day of the last school bell, authorities recorded 238 cases of schoolchildren driving cars to schools across the country. The checks were conducted near educational institutions as part of preventive measures to ensure road safety.
According to the State Traffic Safety Service (SBTS), violations were detected between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Offenders included students from grades 8 to 11. In some cases, minors drove their parents' cars; in others, they used vehicles without permission. Incidents were reported in various regions, including a case in Khorezm region where a female student was behind the wheel.
The SBTS emphasized that driving without a license is a gross violation of traffic rules and poses a direct threat to the safety of both teenagers and others.
The agency called on parents to take greater responsibility for monitoring minors and to prevent the transfer of vehicles to persons without driving rights.
