The administration of Tashkent has signed a package of investment and export agreements with Chinese partners totaling over $3.5 billion. The documents provide for the implementation of specific projects in road and transport construction, housing, industrial production, and urban infrastructure modernization.

The agreements were reached during the Uzbekistan-China Interregional Forum in Xi'an. The bulk of the portfolio consists of investments worth over $3.3 billion, with export contracts accounting for about $156 million.

Key areas include transport system development, housing construction, modernization of engineering networks, and urban improvement. Specifically, projects are being discussed for BRT development, construction of overpasses, road infrastructure improvements, and the creation of modern residential complexes as part of renovation.

Special attention is paid to the urban environment: plans include launching "24/7 streets" format, developing parking solutions, as well as drainage and rainwater diversion projects. Concurrently, industrial initiatives are being considered—production of building materials, ceramics, and waste sorting equipment.

Agreements have also been reached on the development of the "Yangi Avlod" industrial zone. It is planned to introduce technological solutions and launch new production facilities jointly with Chinese companies.

Project financing is expected under the EPC+F model—using attracted funds without direct use of the state budget, from construction to full commissioning. The return on investment is planned to be ensured gradually through new revenues of the city economy.

In addition, export agreements have been signed, including supplies of jewelry, cotton yarn, and silver concentrate.

These projects are expected to create new jobs, accelerate urban infrastructure renewal, make the capital more convenient and safer, strengthen its export potential, and help introduce modern technologies and environmental solutions.
