Uzbekistan is continuing a large-scale social support campaign in honor of the recent sacred holiday of Kurban Hayit.

Based on Presidential Decree No. PP-196, holiday payments of $200 are being transferred to the savings accounts of orphaned children and children deprived of parental care.

The program covers over 8,000 children across the republic. Payments are also provided for children of servicemen who died defending the borders of the Motherland.

The initiative is financed from funds allocated to the charitable public fund "Waqf".

In regional breakdown, assistance is distributed as follows: in Bukhara region, 307 children received $200 each. In Namangan region, payments were transferred to the accounts of 521 children.
