From June 4 to 6, 2026, Tashkent will host the second meeting of the Termez Dialogue on connectivity between Central and South Asia, themed “Peace, Connectivity, Resilience: Forging the Foundation for Shared Prosperity.”

The platform, established in 2025, aims to advance President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiative to strengthen interregional ties, which was previously endorsed by a special UN General Assembly resolution.

The forum is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, in partnership with the CICA. Over 150 politicians, business leaders, and experts from CIS countries, Europe, Asia, the Americas, and the Middle East are expected to participate.

Participants include representatives from UN missions, the International Water Management Institute, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and Georgetown University. The program features a high-level plenary session and thematic sessions on climate change adaptation and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

Experts will discuss regional security, engagement with Afghanistan, the development of the Afghanistan-Uzbekistan-Pakistan logistics corridor, and regional identity issues. Field sessions are also planned: delegates will visit Termez to tour the Ayritom center and the Termez Cargo Center hub, concluding in Samarkand.

The meeting will conclude with the adoption of a Communiqué, reaffirming the commitment to constructive partnership development.
