Tashkent, Uzbekistan – AN Podrobno.uz. Uzbekistan's junior judo team confidently took first place in the overall team standings at the Asia Cup, winning a total of 39 medals.

The junior competitions of the Asia Cup in judo concluded in Tashkent. Representatives of the Uzbekistan national team showed brilliant results, securing 13 gold, 9 silver, and 17 bronze medals.

As a result, the national team took first place in the overall team standings of the tournament, ahead of rivals from other countries in the region.

Starting tomorrow, the Asia Cup will feature youth competitions, where Uzbek athletes also hope to show worthy results.

Earlier, the International Judo Federation (IJF) changed the venue for the World Junior Championships, originally planned in Jordan. Tashkent was chosen as the new host. The decision is linked to the worsening military-political situation in the Middle East.
