President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan visited the NovoPlast TPE enterprise in the Chirchik chemical-industrial technopark. The project was implemented jointly with the Russian company VR Plast.

According to the presidential press service, the total cost of the project is $5.4 million. A modern laboratory and innovative production lines operate on an area of 4,200 square meters. The company produces thermoplastic elastomer granules, door and window seals, hoses for technical and food industries, as well as polymer products for construction and electrical engineering.

The products are characterized by high strength and resistance to deformation. The research center develops new formulations taking into account the requirements of Asian and European markets. Finished granules and hoses undergo testing for compliance with international standards.

The enterprise has created 58 jobs. Last year, it produced goods worth 103 billion soums. Exports amounted to $5 million. Import-substituting products worth $8.5 million were produced. In the future, the plant plans to increase production volume to 177 billion soums and raise the export share to 60%.

On the same day, Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the Kmita Polymers enterprise in the Chirchik chemical-industrial technopark. The plant, jointly with the Russian company Polymers, produces polyethylene films of special and wide range.
