Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Uzbekistan aims to increase total investment in the Chirchik chemical-industrial technopark to $207 million by 2030, up from $56 million absorbed last year.
According to the presidential press service following President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the site, the technopark created 758 jobs in 2025. Enterprises produced over 150 types of products worth $60 million. By 2030, commercial output is planned to reach $294 million, exports $48 million, and the number of jobs 23,000.
The president was also presented with scientific and practical projects for developing the chemical industry. The country produces 3.7 million tons of mineral fertilizers annually, but demand for imported phosphorus and water-soluble fertilizers persists. Investment projects worth $2.8 billion have been developed to modernize the sector.
In the petrochemical sector, domestic demand for polymers is expected to reach 3.2 million tons by 2032. Large-scale projects in Angren and Kungrad will fully replace imports. In the household chemicals sector, investment projects will halve imports and increase the share of domestic products in local consumption to 64%.
Earlier, it was reported that President Mirziyoyev visited the Kmita Polymers plant in the Chirchik technopark. The plant, in cooperation with Russia's Polymers company, produces polyethylene films of special and wide assortment.
