Officers of the National Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes in the Tashkent region have thwarted an attempt to illegally sell a land plot from the state reserve.
During the operation, it was established that a 47-year-old resident of Tashkent gained the trust of an entrepreneur and promised to help register a large land plot. The plot was 1.5 hectares in the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region. For his services, which allegedly involved using high-ranking contacts in architecture and cadastre systems, the man demanded $750,000.
The suspect was caught red-handed while receiving an advance payment of $20,000. Physical evidence was seized in accordance with legal procedures. A criminal case has been opened, and investigative actions are underway.
