In the Buvayda district of Fergana region, ecology service employees averted a tragedy and saved the life of a minor girl who jumped into a canal with the intention of committing suicide.

The incident occurred during a patrol operation. Inspectors noticed a girl jumping from a bridge over the Achikul canal into the water, allegedly with suicidal intent. Despite being about 200 meters away, they immediately rushed to the canal.

Thanks to prompt and coordinated actions, the officers managed to pull the teenager out of the water and save her life.

After the rescue, the girl received first aid, and relevant services and her relatives were notified.

The press service of the regional ecology department stated that this act is an example of humanity, responsibility, and readiness to help in an emergency.

Earlier, law enforcement officers saved a young man from suicide in Andijan.
