The Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent has commented on a video showing a child pushing a kitten, causing it to fall down a flight of stairs and die. The incident occurred on May 27 in the Aviasozlar neighborhood of the Yashnabad district.

The footage shows an 8-year-old boy first petting the kitten and then pushing it. The animal fell to its death. After the incident, the boy continued on his way without attempting to help.

The video sparked widespread discussion on social media. Following an investigation, the boy's father was held accountable under Article 47 of the Administrative Code (Failure to fulfill duties for the upbringing and education of children). Additionally, police conducted a preventive conversation with the family.

It is worth recalling that earlier in Uzbekistan, a young man threw a cat off a bridge, prompting public outrage and calls to identify and punish the perpetrator.
