Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. From June to August each year, Uzbekistan will run the 'Open Tourism Season' program, featuring extensive support measures ranging from payments to airlines to a 50% VAT refund in the tourism sector.
One of the key measures is financial support for air carriers. Foreign and local companies launching new flights to the country can receive compensation for part of their expenses from the state budget, as well as subsidies of $100 for each tourist they attract.
Additional incentives are provided for tour operators. For every thousand foreign tourists brought in, Uzbek residents will receive $5,000.
The main focus is on an unprecedented industry support measure – 50% of value-added tax on services provided by tour operators and hotels will be returned as cashback. This decision is expected to significantly reduce the burden on businesses and make the tourism market even more attractive.
Emphasis is also placed on global promotion. Fifty foreign bloggers, each with an audience of over 5 million subscribers, will be invited to the country for free week-long tours.
Furthermore, expenses for promoting the country on major global online platforms will be compensated by the state.
