Representatives of the State Tax Committee announced during an online dialogue on tax administration of blogging activities that six of the most popular bloggers in the country allegedly underpaid about 3.1 billion sums in taxes.

According to Kamola Akhmedjanova, Chief State Tax Inspector of the Department for Economic Analysis and Monitoring of the Shadow Economy, the committee examined the activities of 110 of the most popular bloggers.

Among them, 55 are registered as self-employed, 33 operate as individual entrepreneurs, and 22 work as individuals.

According to the data, in 2025 the total declared income of these bloggers amounted to 2.7 billion sums, while the amount of taxes paid was 110 million sums.

However, analysis of advertising posts and stories of the six largest bloggers indicated possible tax evasion totaling approximately 3.1 billion sums. The Tax Committee emphasized that this estimate is preliminary and based on available information.

The committee also reminded that blogging activities are considered entrepreneurial. Akhmedjanova noted that many bloggers use the services of administrators and advertising managers, whereas self-employed individuals are not legally allowed to hire employees.

The bloggers have been given three months to bring their activities into compliance with current legislation.
