A 25-year-old woman from Angren, Tashkent region, was arrested at Tashkent International Airport during a police operation for attempting to illegally send a fellow Uzbek citizen to the United Arab Emirates for sexual exploitation, according to the regional police department.

The suspect allegedly conspired with acquaintances living in Dubai to deceive a woman from Jizzakh region. She gained the victim's trust by promising well-paid jobs in Dubai.

According to the plan, another Uzbek citizen was supposed to meet the victim in Dubai. The suspect was detained at the airport while trying to put the victim on an international flight.

A criminal case has been opened against the suspect under Article 135, Part 2, paragraphs 'd' and 'k' of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (human trafficking).

Investigative actions are ongoing, and law enforcement is taking measures to identify and detain other individuals involved in this criminal network.
