In the early hours of June 15, an attack on police officers occurred in the Eylavak neighborhood of Akhangaran district, Tashkent region. According to a source from Kun.uz, at least two officers sustained bodily injuries as a result of the incident.

Patrol officers on duty in the area noticed a group of intoxicated individuals and attempted to call them to order, intending to issue a fine. A quarrel broke out, and one of the citizens stabbed a prevention inspector with a knife.

Other officers arriving at the scene used their weapons to defend themselves. A document obtained by Kun.uz indicates that a 34-year-old resident of the district is being sought.

A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 25 and 97 of the Criminal Code for attempted murder. No official comments have yet been received from the Prosecutor General's Office or the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
