According to the Tashkent city administration, about 40% of the waste collected daily by municipal services consists of trash discarded by residents in unauthorized locations.
This situation increases the burden on municipal services. Workers spend time and resources not only on scheduled cleaning but also on eliminating spontaneous dumps and collecting bags and packages left near roads, in courtyards, on sidewalks, or next to garbage containers.
Authorities urge citizens to dispose of waste only in designated areas and to respect the work of those who keep Tashkent clean every day. This would allow city services to focus on greening, tree care, flower beds, and public spaces.
Earlier, the Tashkent administration reported the district with the highest number of violations related to illegal waste dumping.
