Uzbekistan Airways flight HY603, a passenger service from Tashkent to Moscow, was forced to return to the departure airport due to a technical problem.

The Boeing 767-3CB(ER) aircraft (registration UK67007) was unable to continue the flight after holding in a waiting area. The crew decided to return to Tashkent.

The aircraft is currently in a holding pattern to burn off fuel and reduce landing weight, necessary for a safe landing.

The return was a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and crew. The cause of the technical issue is under investigation.
