Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Andijan has set a world record: the mass performance of the famous 'Andijan Polka' has been officially included in the Guinness World Records.

The historic performance took place as part of events dedicated to Andijan being named the cultural capital of the Turkic world for 2026. At the Babur Arena stadium, 20,000 people simultaneously danced one of the most famous Uzbek folk dances.

An official representative of Guinness World Records observed the process, confirmed that the event fully met strict requirements, and recorded the world record.

The event was organized on the initiative of TURKSOY with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Andijan regional administration. This achievement is expected to strengthen the reputation of the Uzbek dance school on the world stage.

Earlier, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Tashkent was included in the Guinness World Records as the largest museum of Islamic civilization on the planet.
