Citizens of Uzbekistan have been receiving fake messages via messengers about alleged debts and enforcement documents purportedly from the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement. The agency has warned that such mailings are fraudulent and may be used to steal personal data and money.

According to the Bureau, scammers send messages containing the recipient's first name, last name, and sometimes even passport series and number. This is done to create an impression of authenticity and mislead recipients.

The agency also reported that in some cases, fraudsters use artificial intelligence technologies to make their messages appear as official communications from Bureau employees.

Particularly dangerous are APK files attached to such messages. The Bureau emphasized that downloading them could give scammers access to bank card data and lead to theft of funds.

Additionally, the document templates distributed with the messages are not related to the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement or any other official state bodies.

The agency reminded that notifications about enforcement documents and debts are sent to citizens exclusively via SMS messages and through the special information number "MIB".

To verify information about enforcement proceedings and debts, citizens are advised to use only the official website of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement and its official mobile application.

The Bureau urged citizens to remain vigilant and not to share their personal data with strangers.
