A new video of a horrific traffic accident that occurred on the morning of June 30 in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent has surfaced on social media. The footage shows that shortly before colliding with a Chevrolet Lacetti, the KIA K5 was moving at high speed alongside another vehicle, suggesting a possible street race.

The recording captures the KIA K5 and another car moving almost simultaneously at high speed along the avenue. Seconds later, the KIA K5 collides with a Chevrolet Lacetti crossing the intersection. The impact was so powerful that the Lacetti was literally torn into two parts.

Official confirmation that the KIA K5 driver was involved in a race with another car has not yet been provided. Law enforcement agencies have also not commented on the published footage.

Earlier, the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate reported that the accident occurred around 05:10 at the intersection of Amir Temur and Bogishamol streets. According to preliminary data, the Chevrolet Lacetti, moving along Amir Temur Street, collided with the KIA K5, which was approaching from the right.

An investigation into the accident is currently underway. The official statement does not include information about fatalities or injuries.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses report that several people, including a child, died as a result of the crash. These reports have not yet been officially confirmed.
