Tashkent, Uzbekistan – AN Podrobno.uz. Uzbek grandmaster Almas Rakhmatullaev became the silver medalist at the 2nd Pamukkale International Open Chess Tournament held in Denizli, Turkey.

The competition took place from July 13 to 19, bringing together strong chess players from various countries. After nine rounds, Rakhmatullaev scored 7 points, securing second place and the silver medal.

In addition to the award, the Uzbek chess player received a prize of $2,800 and improved his international rating by 21 points.

The Chess Federation of Uzbekistan congratulated the athlete on his achievement and wished him further success in major tournaments.

Previously, the Uzbek youth chess team, which included Rakhmatullaev, won first place at the World Rapid Chess Championship.
