The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the victim's age to a Podrobno.uz correspondent.

As previously reported, emergency services received the alert on July 21 at 2:07 PM. Witnesses stated that one of the swimmers went underwater while bathing in the canal near the street of the same name.

Specialized rescuers from the Tashkent Main Department of Emergency Situations and other relevant services promptly arrived at the scene. During the search operation, the teenager's body was found at 6:35 PM about 100 meters from where he drowned, and was handed over to the appropriate authorities.
