On July 21, the national payment system HUMO announced the appointment of Alexander Evgenievich Sotnikov as Chairman of the Management Board of the company.

The appointment is a logical continuation of HUMO's strategic transformation process. In May 2026, Alexander Sotnikov joined the company as First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, where he managed key areas and the implementation of strategic initiatives for the development of the national payment infrastructure.

Alexander Sotnikov is a recognized expert in payment technologies, digital banking, and the development of national payment systems with over 25 years of experience. Prior to joining HUMO, he held senior positions in the banking and payment sector of the Republic of Belarus, including heading OJSC Banking Processing Center, the country's largest processing center and operator of the BELKART national payment system, serving as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Belgazprombank, and working at the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, where he participated in the development of national payment infrastructure and digital transformation projects in the financial sector.

"One of the key factors in my decision to join HUMO was the company's ambitious plans and its drive for technological leadership. I am particularly interested in the prospects for developing inter-system integrations, using artificial intelligence technologies, and further strengthening HUMO's international position. This is an opportunity to apply accumulated experience in a new market and contribute to the development of one of the most dynamically developing payment ecosystems in the region," said Alexander Sotnikov.

Under Sotnikov's leadership, HUMO will continue its course toward developing a modern payment ecosystem, expanding international cooperation, implementing advanced technological solutions, and increasing the availability of innovative financial services for millions of users, banks, and enterprises in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The company expressed gratitude to Ulugbek Khodjituraevich Bakhadirov for his significant contribution to the development of HUMO and the strengthening of the national payment system. Under his leadership, HUMO implemented a number of strategically important initiatives aimed at modernizing the country's payment infrastructure and developing international cooperation, significantly expanded the partner ecosystem, and strengthened technological competencies.

The appointment of Alexander Sotnikov is part of HUMO's long-term strategy to develop the national payment system and strengthen its international position. Key areas for further development include expanding international partnerships, developing inter-system integrations, introducing innovative technologies, and creating new opportunities for using HUMO cards and services both in Uzbekistan and abroad.
