Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. Employees of the Uzbekistan Railways system (O‘zbekiston temir yo‘llari) will receive a one-time cash payment of 1 million soms in honor of their professional holiday, Railway Transport Workers' Day.
The corresponding order was signed by the company's chairman. The payment is timed not only to the professional holiday, celebrated annually on the first Sunday of August, but also to the upcoming 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence. The company noted that the financial incentive is aimed at supporting workers.
Eligibility extends to employees of enterprises, institutions, and divisions within the Uzbekistan Railways system who, as of August 1, 2026, have at least one year of continuous service in the railway industry and are engaged in the company's core activities. Also included are employees on parental leave for children under three years old and released trade union officials.
However, the payment does not apply to individuals working under civil law contracts, seasonal workers, or employees on fixed-term contracts. The one-time bonus will be awarded once per employee. For those working part-time, the payment will be made only at their primary place of employment.
To facilitate the payment, enterprise managers must calculate the required funds and submit requests to the Department of Economic Analysis and Forecasting, after which the Finance Department will provide funding. For system enterprises with legal entity status, this payment is advisory rather than mandatory.
