A video circulating on social media has sparked widespread outrage, showing a man forcing his nine-year-old daughter to eat manure while threatening and insulting her. The incident occurred in the Kumkurgan district of Uzbekistan's Surkhandarya region.

According to the regional police department, on July 25, a woman filed a complaint with the police, alleging that her 33-year-old husband had abused their daughter. An investigation revealed that the video was recorded on December 30, 2025.

Following verification of the facts, the investigative unit of the Kumkurgan district police opened a criminal case under Article 110, Part 2, Clause 'a' of the Criminal Code ('Torture of a minor'). The suspect has been detained in procedural order, and investigative actions are ongoing.

The Children's Ombudsman has also joined the investigation. The Ombudsman's office reported that the complaint was received from the girl's mother, who stated that the father punished the girl for a misdeed.

After receiving the complaint, the Children's Ombudsman sent a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which confirmed the initiation of the criminal case. The progress of the investigation is under the Ombudsman's control.
