The government of Uzbekistan has approved new regulations for obtaining a national certificate for primary school teachers. According to the document, starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, teachers with specialized education who receive a national certificate of level B+ or higher will receive a monthly bonus of 15% of their official salary.

The bonus will be paid from the state budget for the duration of the certificate's validity. The Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications will be responsible for organizing and conducting the exams.

Candidates must submit an electronic application through the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services (my.gov.uz). A registration fee of 1.5 times the base calculation value (BCV) will be charged.

Exam results will be calculated using the international RASH methodology. Based on test scores, participants will be awarded certificates of various levels, from C to A+. The highest level, A+, will be granted to candidates who score more than 70 points.

The exam assesses teachers' knowledge of primary school subjects, teaching methodology, and pedagogical skills. Successful candidates will receive an electronic certificate with a QR code via my.gov.uz. Those dissatisfied with the results may file an appeal.

It is worth recalling that $100 million in concessional loans and a $5 million grant have been allocated to develop primary education and basic skills. By 2030, these changes are expected to affect approximately 2 million children living in Uzbekistan.
