In Namangan, law enforcement officers discovered a secret storage facility containing nearly 29,000 packs of foreign-made medicines. According to preliminary data, the drugs were illegally brought into the country and lacked the necessary quality certificates.

The operation was carried out by the State Security Service together with the Customs Committee and internal affairs bodies. During a search in the basement of a 23-year-old resident of Namangan, law enforcement officers found a equipped warehouse where medicines were stored.

In total, 28,900 packs of 28 types of medicines were seized, including Ortofen, Neurox, Tyrozol, Siofor, and other drugs. At the same time, the drugs did not have the required quality certificates.

According to preliminary estimates, the total value of the batch is about 1.4 billion soums.

Currently, the medicines have been sent for examination, and law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation to determine all circumstances of their origin and possible supply channels.

Earlier, law enforcement officers seized more than 70,000 units of medicines, as well as thousands of fake labels and barcodes in the Bukhara region and Karakalpakstan.
