The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan has sent 35 sets of cricket equipment and sports uniforms to Tashkent. The delivery is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the republic's independence.

The project aims to promote cricket among Uzbek youth, develop sports diplomacy, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Pakistan's experience in developing this discipline will be utilized in its implementation.

Cricket is now played in more than 100 countries. In Pakistan, it is considered a national sport and a symbol of national unity.

Earlier, it was reported that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev supported Uzbek athletes who participated in the Games of the Future in Astana.
