Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov has signed a decree ordering an official inspection of ten district governors in the capital, following a submission by the Anti-Corruption Agency. This was reported by Podrobno.uz.
The inspection will cover the heads of the Bektemir, Mirabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Almazar, Sergeli, Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Shaykhantakhur, Yunusabad, and Yashnabad districts.
A special city commission has been established to examine the agency's findings. The commission is expected to prepare conclusions based on its work. If necessary, experts from relevant departments and organizations will be involved in the inspection.
Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Agency reviewed the modernization of bus stops in Tashkent. None of the 120 facilities planned for commissioning in May-June were officially put into operation.
