Traffic police officers in the Fergana region have uncovered a case of illegal transportation of 28 children in a Damas minivan. The regional traffic safety department reported the incident.

The incident occurred in the Turvat neighborhood of the Toshloq district. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers found 28 children inside, with five of them seated in the front seats. This constitutes a serious violation of road safety regulations.

The driver was issued an administrative citation under Article 128-8 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (violation of passenger transportation rules). He was also assessed 0.3 penalty points. According to the article, such violations are punishable by a fine equivalent to twice the base calculation value (BHM).

The traffic safety department emphasized that despite repeated warnings to parents and drivers about the importance of complying with child transportation rules, such cases continue to occur. They stressed that this poses a significant threat to children's safety.

Earlier, a similar case was registered in the Qiziltepa district of the Navoiy region, where a driver was penalized for transporting 17 kindergarten children and one staff member in a Damas minivan.
