In the Dustlik district of the Jizzakh region, law enforcement officers discovered and destroyed 63 wild cannabis plants during an operational-preventive operation called 'Safe and Healthy Country', aimed at identifying violations related to drug trafficking.
According to the regional Department of Internal Affairs, the plants were found on August 5 on a farmland plot belonging to a 57-year-old local resident living in the 'Bunyodkor' neighborhood. The cannabis reportedly grew wild.
After the discovery, law enforcement officials processed the necessary procedural documents, and all 63 bushes were destroyed in accordance with the law.
Earlier, in Tashkent, a man suspected of working for an online drug store was detained. During a search, authorities seized over 10 liters of narcotic oil, about 10 grams of opium, and $35,000 in cash.
