Over the past seven months of this year, the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan has brought back 2,888 compatriots who found themselves in difficult situations abroad. This was reported by the agency's press service.

Among those repatriated are 1,306 citizens facing severe financial difficulties, 518 women with children, 1,022 children, and 42 individuals who required special medical transport in a lying position. These figures underscore the scale of efforts to protect citizens' rights overseas.

Of those in need of medical supervision, 15 people were transported to the republic under the care of specialists and doctors from the Ministry of Health. They were provided with necessary conditions for treatment and rehabilitation.

A total of 9 billion 936 million soums was allocated from the Migration Fund to cover transportation, medical, organizational, and other expenses related to the return of citizens. These funds covered airfare, medical assistance, temporary accommodation, and other needs.

The agency also reminded that citizens of Uzbekistan who encounter difficulties while working abroad can seek help in accordance with the law. Applications are accepted through the official website or hotline.
