In Namangan, law enforcement authorities have uncovered an illegal warehouse of medicines. During a special operation, 13,200 units of drugs across 56 types were confiscated from a private house.

The medicines were stored in violation of sanitary requirements and without documents confirming their origin and quality. The estimated value of the seized batch exceeds 577.4 million soums.

The operation was carried out by the State Security Service, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, and the Customs Committee. A 30-year-old man was keeping the drugs for subsequent sale.

Among the seized drugs are Cefotaxime, Bifidumbacterin, Atropine, Tidomet Forte, and others. According to authorities, the batch was brought into the country from a neighboring republic through illegal routes.

A criminal case has been initiated against the man under the article for illegal circulation and storage of substandard medicines. The investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, a channel for the supply of counterfeit drugs from Russia was cut off in Tashkent, where 29 types of drugs worth 600 million soums were found.
