As of July 1, 2026, Uzbekistan has registered 375,071 active individual entrepreneurs, according to the National Statistics Committee. This marks a significant indicator of the country's entrepreneurial activity.

The highest number of individual entrepreneurs is in Tashkent city – 58,088. It is followed by Fergana region – 40,259, Samarkand – 37,365, Tashkent region – 35,173, and Andijan – 31,683.

Kashkadarya region has 27,542 individual entrepreneurs, Namangan – 27,003, Bukhara – 22,383, Karakalpakstan – 22,053, Surkhandarya – 20,302, and Khorezm – 18,965.

The lowest numbers are in Jizzakh – 14,339, Syrdarya – 10,286, and Navoi – 9,630.

Earlier it was reported that starting January 1, 2026, individual entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan can register their brand names. For those with an annual turnover of up to 1 billion soums, the turnover tax rate has been reduced to 1%.
