Uzbekistan is set to significantly streamline the process for citizens and entrepreneurs to file court claims as part of its 'Justice — 2030' strategy, according to Podrobno.uz.

The reform includes introducing a 'single window' principle in court buildings, expanding digital services, and eliminating several formal grounds for returning lawsuits. These changes will be implemented gradually until 2030.

Service offices will be established in courts to assist citizens in preparing procedural documents and using digital tools. By the end of 2027, the Supreme Court, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, will modernize the my.sud.uz portal, launching an updated mobile app, sample application services, and a convenient search for court decisions.

Starting January 1, 2028, a 'proactive management of economic cases' standard will be introduced for economic disputes. Judges will be required to help resolve minor formal deficiencies. Additionally, the practice of returning lawsuits due to lack of jurisdiction will be abolished; courts will automatically forward such cases to the appropriate authorities.

The reform also aims to enhance transparency and independence of the judiciary. Under the new approach, an annual Justice Quality Index for Uzbekistan will be published. The Supreme Court and the Supreme Judicial Council will develop the relevant indicator system by the end of 2027.
