In the early hours of August 15, a fire broke out in a residential building in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent. Emergency workers managed to evacuate residents, but the commander of a special battalion group, Captain Boburmirzo Pardaev, died during the rescue operation.
The report of the fire in a house on the territory of the 'Quyi Darchon' mahalla was received at the Ministry of Emergency Situations' dispatch at 3:41 AM. Rescuers from the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department and the Republican Special Rescue Battalion promptly arrived at the scene.
While extinguishing the fire, rescuers simultaneously evacuated residents. People were successfully led out of the burning building.
Captain Boburmirzo Pardaev, commander of the special rescue battalion group, also took part in the rescue operation. During the evacuation of people inside the building, he sustained fatal injuries and died.
'As a true professional and dedicated officer, he put people's lives and safety above his own and remained faithful to his duty to the end,' the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
The leadership and personnel of the ministry expressed condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased Captain Boburmirzo Pardaev.
Earlier, a traffic police inspector died in the Fergana region after being hit by a 30-year-old driver of a Spark car who was under the influence of alcohol.
