Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz. The Asian Junior and Youth Weightlifting Championship concluded with the Uzbek team not only securing numerous individual victories but also dominating the team standings.

Over eight days of competition, athletes clinched fifty medals and won the team standings in four categories. On the final day of the championship, held at the "Olympic Village" in Tashkent, medals were contested in the heaviest weight class.

In the over-110 kg category among youth, Omadillo Olimov emerged victorious in the clean and jerk and in the total, completing the tournament with a golden double.

In total, the Uzbek team won 51 medals at the tournament. Among youth, athletes secured 7 gold, 10 silver, and 6 bronze medals — totaling 23 medals. Juniors contributed 6 gold, 8 silver, and 14 bronze medals — totaling 28 medals.

The team standings were also successful, with Uzbekistan taking first place in four categories: overall points among youth, points among girls, overall result among juniors, and among boys.

The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan congratulated the Weightlifting Federation of Uzbekistan, athletes, coaches, and fans on the championship results.

Earlier, representatives of the Uzbek track cycling team, Nikita Tsvetkov and Sergey Rostovtsev, won medals at the IV. Budapest GP international tournament in Hungary.
