A major fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon at a construction materials market in the Yanginamangan district of Namangan, Uzbekistan. Dramatic footage showing thick plumes of black smoke rising from the scene quickly spread across social media platforms.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, an alert about the blaze in the Mingchinor neighborhood was received by the unified emergency number 112 at 1:46 PM local time. The fire engulfed rows of stalls selling building materials, posing a threat of spreading to adjacent pavilions.

Firefighting units from the Ministry's rescue divisions arrived promptly at the scene with specialized equipment. Within 12 minutes of the call, at 1:58 PM, firefighters managed to contain the flames, preventing further escalation.

Currently, crews are continuing efforts to fully extinguish the fire and cool down structures. Preliminary reports from emergency services indicate that no injuries have been reported, and the situation is under full control. The cause of the incident and the extent of damage are still being determined.
